A Bag of Love
MISSION
We believe in lifting up women and girls through simple acts of kindness.
Our intention is to help out with small practical gifts that are not only essential items to keep everyday hygiene attainable but also contribute to the wellbeing and preservation the dignity of the women who are facing stressful and difficult situations.
Tidy Up through the Bag of Love initiative is focusing on helping women living in deep poverty and/or facing multiple forms of discrimination who might become or are victims of violence.
Facts:
About 12% of all Canadian women live in poverty. Women make up 27% of the overall homeless population in Canada.
Let’s make sure that women facing extreme adverse situations know they matter, and they are not forgotten.
Our first donations delivery is planned for Mother’s day, 2024.
THE GOAL OF OUR CAMPAIGN
Almost everyone has a bag, purse, or backpack they are not using anymore that can be filled with hygiene products that would serve the basic necessities of a woman or girl.
There are many women who live in difficult financial circumstances who cannot even afford basic hygienic items. We don’t even know how many …
We want to help them and are asking for your help. We cannot do this on our own and we greatly appreciate your contribution.
Through collaboration with the Women Shelter and Alpha House in Calgary we will donate to women in difficult circumstances in the city on May 11, 2024, just before Mother’s Day.
